Yard signs ( or yard shields ) can easily resonate with people who want to express themselves and make a statement in the public area, in their neighbourhood and community. - Unlike our PoM printable apparels (T-Shirts, Sweat shirts, towels, mugs etc ...) which are primarily about personal style or function, the uniquely designed PoM yard signs serve as a public declaration of one's values and beliefs. John Quincy Adams (1767-1848) was an American statesman, politician, diplomat, lawyer, and diarist ... and the sixth President of the United States. He previously served as the eighth United States secretary of state from 1817 to 1825. 

Adams is known for his strong nationalist views and his support for the American System, a program of economic development that included tariffs, internal improvements, and a national bank. 

Adams is also credited with popularizing the use of yard signs in political campaigns. During the 1824 presidential election, he used yard signs to promote his candidacy and spread his message to voters. - This practice quickly caught on and has become a staple of American politics ever since.
